How’s your consumer service?

AOL has gotten a bad press lately due to a recording or a consumer trying to cancel their service.

Comcast has fired a service tech for taking a nap on a consumer’s couch while waiting for over an hour for assistance. From his own company. Granted he shouldn’t have been sleeping, but don’t you think that the company wouldn’t have wanted him to waiting for help that long. He was on the payroll.

No matter what the product is, consumer service should be a part of it.

So how is your consumer service and the technology you use?

Is your telephone answered? on the 2nd ring, 4th or does your answering machine answer?

Do you return your emails, even it’s just to say, I need a little more time to get you the answer?

Is your web page up-to-date? Does it have the correct contact information and services available?

Just a couple of things to think about.
