Who do I read?
I think that most people have either certain things (like the sports page or Dear Abby) or certain people (is Dave Barry still writing for papers) that they go to to read. I even have a few. Some I’ve read over the years and like, a few that I’ve just recently discovered and enjoy and even a few that I have liked in the past but no longer read.
I live in Maryland, so I am constantly going to the Baltimore Sun newspaper to get current events happening in the area. Most mornings with my morning coffee I fire up the computer and read the paper online. I actually enjoy reading it online, and not the print edition. Then again I do like technology.
Another place that I go to is the technology section of the Washington Post. This gives me a feeling of what’s happened in the political world in regards to technology.
I also do some reading on the LA Times and the NY Times.
All of these newspaper you are required to register, most are fee-less and for those who do have fees it’s only for certain information.
While speaking of the NY Times one of my favorite technology writer, David Pogue, writes a column for them. His view on things can also be found at davidpogue.com.
One of my new favorite people to read is Grace Aquino from PCWorld. Her major focus is mobile phones and services, a subject that I have dealt with many times on this blog. I’m not sure, but I think she may have my dream job.
Those are a few of the places that I go to for information. Over the years I’ve had others that I’ve used, but now I have found them to be dry and not always very informative. It wouldn’t be fair to mention them so I’ll do as I learned many years ago, which is if I have nothing good to say about them, I’ll say nothing at all.
